Throughout the years S/YCEA, Local #1 has strived to enlighten our membership about their rights in the workplace.  In your News Update, there are often articles we have either written, found through other union resources or gotten with permission from other associations that represent public employees.

S/YCEA staff hopes that having these resources available to you will help if the need arises.  S/YCEA’s purpose is to represent our members on disciplinary matters and grievances but even more importantly to provide information in the workplace that will make everyone communicate more efficiently and with a greater satisfaction for their jobs.  Often problems arise out of a misunderstanding created by a difference of opinion that may have been avoided if information had been available to reference.
